1. About TherapyMatchup

TherapyMatchup is an online noticeboard that connects therapists (“you”) with clients or families seeking therapy support. TherapyMatchup is not an employer, recruitment agency, or referrer. You remain an independent professional responsible for your own practice, insurance, and compliance obligations.

2. Eligibility and Verification

• You must hold current registration or certification with a recognised Australian professional body (e.g. AHPRA, SPA, OTA, APS, ESSA, etc.).
• You must maintain professional indemnity insurance and comply with all legal and ethical standards of your discipline.
• We reserve the right to verify your credentials before activating your profile.

3. Your Responsibilities

• Only respond to client posts that match your scope of practice, qualifications, and capacity.
• Maintain respectful, ethical communication with clients and families at all times.
• Do not use client contact information for marketing or unrelated purposes.
• You are responsible for your own client screening, consent, record keeping, and service delivery.
• You acknowledge that TherapyMatchup is not responsible for fees, payments, or clinical outcomes arising from your services.

4. Use of the Platform

• Submitting a proposal to clients may be subject to usage fees, which will be clearly outlined before payment.
• We may suspend or remove your account if you misuse the platform, breach confidentiality, or provide false information.
• You agree not to use the site for solicitation, spamming, or unprofessional conduct.

5. Independent Relationship

Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between you and TherapyMatchup. You are solely responsible for your professional conduct and business operations.

6. Privacy

You must comply with Australian Privacy Principles and any other relevant privacy legislation in handling client information. TherapyMatchup handles data according to our Privacy Policy, which applies to all users.

7. Limitation of Liability

TherapyMatchup provides a connection platform only. We are not liable for any loss, claim, injury, or damages resulting from your participation, communications, or services delivered through the platform.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised terms.
